A Thanksgiving Giveaway!

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite days of the year, outside of the Biblical festivals!  It’s a wonderful time to gather with friends and family and the food is always outstanding!  But the most important aspect of Thanksgiving is simply that … giving thanks.  We have so much to be thankful for and so often we get caught up in the busy-ness of life that we forget to count our blessings.

A Thanksgiving Giveaway!

For the past several years I have really put an emphasis on Thanksgiving/giving thanks on the blogs.  This year I have had no opportunity to do so.  My days have been so full and blogging has been put on the back burner.  I apologize to those of you who have contacted us with questions or suggestions for posts.  We hope to be able to catch up soon but even if we can’t, I know that it will be okay and the world won’t stop spinning simply because we’re not keeping up with our schedule!  It seems like I’m learning that a lot lately … to let go and not stress over a to do list!

In spite of all the craziness over the past month or so, I didn’t want to let Thanksgiving slip by without an acknowledgement so here goes –

I want to hear what you are thankful for!

Please leave a comment on this post sharing one or more things for which you can give thanks.  Everyone who leaves a comment will be entered into the drawing to win a Lilla Rose flexi-clip of your choice!

Have you visited the website lately?  There are MANY new and beautiful styles to choose from!

A Thanksgiving Giveaway!

Black Friday is always the big Lilla Rose event of the year!  If you have been on the fence about whether or not Lilla Rose is as great as it sounds, this is a good time to try out the products, since some will be up to 60% off!

And remember, if you order the wrong size … or if you just can’t seem to get the products to work for you … the company has a great money-back guarantee.

A Thanksgiving Giveaway!

So if you have been thinking about placing an order with Lilla Rose, you may want to do so sometime between early Friday and late Monday!  If you have any questions or need any sizing help, feel free to contact us.

In the meantime, I would love to hear about the things that you’re thankful for!  Please do leave a comment and share them.  All comments that are submitted between now and Sunday afternoon/evening will be entered into the drawing for a flexi-clip.  If you’re not interested in a hair clip, feel free to share your thankful thoughts anyways … if you win, you can always give it to someone else!

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and a beautiful rest of the week!

  1. Dear Sisters,

.I am most humbled and thankful for my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. He paid a debt He did not owe for me a sinner. All praise and to HIM.

He gave me a family…..here on earth and a heavenly home awaits with my church family.

    True blessings.

  2. I am thankful for my life….almost a year ago I lost my left leg to complications from Diabetes. Recovery was very difficult, but I am alive (I was very sick, my foot was infected and they had to do it right away) and able to walk (with a prosthetic keg and an orthotic boot on my right foot) almost normal.
I am maybe more grateful for my sweet husband, who, on top of having to run our Treehouse B&B, make breakfast for our guests, run our farm, milj the goats, well…a LOT for a man in his 60s, and he takes such tender care of me…I cannot imagine how I would have made it through this past year without him.
Many other things I am greatful for, when I think about them it is overwhelming!
Our Abba is good, He has brought me this far, I praise Him for all His blessings!

  3. I am so thankful that prayers for my health have been answered after 5 long years of chronic pain. Plus I’m thankful for my awesome friends and supportive family.

  4. I Am Thankful!
I am Thankful for YHWH, and his son. And for YHWH sending me and my sisters to my Mommy and Daddy. I am thankful for family to share joy and pain with. And friends to laugh with. I am thankful for my cats to cuddle with, and my dog to play with. I am thankful for Life, and the sorrows that come with it, for only then can we truly enjoy the good times. I am very thankful for Hannah, and everyone else that helps make Shining Stars come out ♥ I hope everyone has Fun and Shalom tomorrow!

  5. There are so many things I am thankful for but one thing I am really thankful for is the opportunity I have to teach and encourage two other younger girls who live nearby on their walk with the Lord, it is such a privilege to be a godly influence in their lives, and how we can share our thoughts and struggles together.

  6. I live in Italy so I don’t celebrate thanksgiving but it is nice to think about what I appreciate in my life. I am thankful for my family and friends, sometimes thinking about a possible future life as a wife and mother doesn’t help me focus on here and now: I don’t want to take loved ones (and the moment I get to spend with them) for granted

  7. I’m so grateful for the work of God through Jesus and His Spirit! Without Him we’d have no one to thank. I’ve never commented but I enjoy your blog and would love to try a flexi-clip!!

  8. This might sound weird, but I’m thankful for pain. I live with chronic daily pain for 6 years now. It has humbled me and drawn me closer to God. If HE hadn’t put me in this position, no telling where I would be.

  9. I’m thankful for the Lord and his blessings. I’m thankful for my family and this wonderful home the Lord lead us too. We left CA and moved to AZ by faith without a home but God provided just the right house for us. We’ve been here two months and it’s been a blessing.

  10. I am thankful for family, friends, new friends I made on facebook and living in the United States.
    HAPPY and a BLESSED THANKSGIVING

  11. I am thankful for good health, which I too often take for granted. It often takes an injury or sickness to remind me how good I have it most of the time!

I am also very grateful that God has blessed us with wonderful Christian friends, including Hannah, Sarah, and Abigail Washburn. You are a great encouragement in my life and my sisters’.

I am so thankful for all of my siblings and the parents God has given me, and that we can be together now for the first time in a LONG time!

And one of my greatest blessings is that I get to live in this beautiful, free country of Australia. My ancestors came here across the sea, seeking for freedom to worship God; they found it, and now I must not waste it.

    Thank you God!

  12. I am thankful for my family, friends, the country I live in and friends I made through blogs like “Radical Feminine”. Thank you for the giveaway.

  13. I am so thankful for Yahweh and his son! I am thankful for my Mommy and Daddy who adopted my 2 sisters and I. Thankful for my big Brothers and adopted sister. Thankful for Horses, Cats to snuggle with and Dogs to have a companion. Thankful for friends, enough food to eat, cloths to wear, a warm roof over my head and for having a safe life. Thankful for Yahweh’s goodness!

  14. I am especially thankful this Thanksgiving (am always grateful to our Lord for His Son and for saving me and loving me!) … because our youngest, our daughter, Ruth Emily, who is 26, has given her heart to the Lord … has repented and believed! I am sooo grateful!! So joyous over this! 🙂

  15. Dear Hannah,
What a lovely idea to ask readers to share what they are thankful for! As I am South African, I don’t celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday, but I DO believe in giving thanks to the Father for His goodness and mercy! I am truly thankful to be part of a loving family…that Christ is the centre of our home…for the freedom of worship in this country…for sisters to walk through life with…for a baby brother to cuddle and love…for salvation…so many things to give praise to Christ for – how blessed we are to serve Him and have Him as our Lord and King!
I would love to enter your giveaway, if I may…so kind and generous of you!
May the remainder of your week be a joyous one and don’t you worry about a lack of blog posts…enjoy this beautiful, busy season of life and know you are in my thoughts and prayers!
    Love and hugs,
    Kelly-Anne

  16. Happy Thanksgiving!
I am thankful to God for giving us this country to live in, and for friends and family that make it pleasant to be in.
I am thankful for the work I can do and for living in the country with animals.
    Have a blessed Thanksgiving everyone!

  17. Thanks for this giveaway Hannah! I am so thankful for young women, such as yourself, who can lead and teach young lladies !! I wish I had this instruction when I was young.

  18. First and foremost I am extremely thankful to Jesus for what He went through to save me from my sins! He has conquered all sin and death and I’m so happy to be His daughter! I am also so blessed to have been born and raised in a Christian home and to live in the peaceful countryside in a free country. There are so many things we take for granted. It is only when these free gifts are taken away that we realize what all we had! I am also thankful for the Christian sisters around the world who encourage me in life.

    God bless!

  19. I am thankful for so many things. I’m thankful for the Father’s care and the love shown by my church family during a time of illness this summer. I’m also thankful for all that He has taught me throughout my time of recuperation, even in the trying and frustrating times. I’m thankful for my family’s love. But I am MOST grateful for my Savior giving His life for me.

  20. Well, first I would like to ditto the same as Glory K. My dear twin has once again beat me to the punch. 😀
I am also thankful for good friends, for real friends who have our back at all times are few and hard to come by. I have made many new friends from Shining Stars within this last year that otherwise I would never have “met”.
So therefore, I am also thankful for you, Hannah, and your family, and also the Shining Star Magazine.
    Blessing!
