Actually, I suspect we have been practicing radical femininity for more than two years, but it was two years ago today that we published our first post. “Radical Femininity” was a phrase that had run through my mind for quite some time before November 18th, 2013. It was a topic I wanted to tackle but I wondered about the best format to do so. When I brought up the blog idea and my family was enthusiastic, it was time to begin! I had been blogging at Shining Stars for years but I wanted this to be a little different … a little more personal, perhaps. Shining Stars is made up of submissions from people around the world and the focus isn’t on any one person or family. With Radical Femininity, I wanted to share more about our family’s journey in this walk and our experiences. I am so happy that my mother and sisters have also participated in this adventure!
It has been a wonderful blessing to “meet” ladies from around the world who share a similar vision for Godly womanhood. None of us are exactly the same in our beliefs and how we practice them, but it is such an encouragement to fellowship, even via cyberspace, with sisters in the faith. Each time you leave a comment or send us an email, we are blessed.
To celebrate our second anniversary, I decided to share 25 of the most popular posts from the past two years! I tried to select one from every month but some months we hadn’t posted anything and during others we had several good articles that had sparked a lot of interest. So I just went through and pulled what I thought were the top 25 based on readership response. Apparently we have a fancy plugin called Embedly that went into action once I started copying and pasting web-links into this post! Unfortunately, it isn’t fancy enough (or smart enough) to display the featured images on ALL the posts … only some of them! On others, it displays our header graphic. This bothered me a little bit but I am trying to get the post finished and scheduled before heading out of town to travel a couple thousand miles to deliver puppies with my father and sister! I’m squelching the perfectionist-in-me and calling it good for now 🙂
So pour yourself a cup of tea or coffee and enjoy!
P.S. Don’t forget to participate in the Counting Your Blessings Challenge that’s happening right now!!
