Blue Quilted Skirt With Cream Vest

Hey Ladies!

I hope you all are enjoying this beautiful spring weather … we sure are!

Here is another outfit post – this is my sister Hannah and these pictures were actually taken last spring.  Enjoy!

She bought this patchwork skirt from a thrift store for about $4.  She already had the blue elbow-length top and cream-colored vest for so long that she does not even remember where they came from!  But it was most likely from a thrift store and they only cost a couple dollars each.

The skirt is nice and full so it twirls very nicely 🙂

She wore her hair in a bun with a Large Simple Band Lite Wood flexi clip and a Bluebelle tichel from Hannah’s Headcoverings.   You can see a tutorial of how she tied this headcovering by clicking here.

On another note, Shining Stars Volume8 Number2 is now available and we are working on sending out the copies today.  This issue is about family friendships and contains some really wonderful articles!  You can get a copy of your own by clicking on the image below … we have sample copies and one year subscriptions (4 issues) available!

    1. Thanks Rachel! The quilted pattern was what really caught my eye on that skirt and there was another one the same style but in a red and brown color scheme. I love to wear that one in the fall so I imagine it will be on here in a few months 🙂

  1. The blue tichel with the sparkles is very lovely !
I like the cream vest and how the ties gather in the back.
Sometimes skirts go too tight right in the backside but this keeps it nice and modest and adorably styled.
I would like to invite you to share this on June 3rd at King Maker blog ( at my link-up Wearing with Wisdom . I am trying to build a community of women and girls who want to share their modest clothing in hopes to inspires others .

    1. Thank you Naomi! I love quilts as well, although I am not the best at making them:) While I know how to sew, it is not my strong point! But I do enjoy seeing other people’s beautiful work. Blessings.
